It’s always a good idea to remember your non-alcohol drinking guests that are attending your parties. Not everyone enjoys the booze. I love the idea of serving a refreshing fruit spritzer instead of just the usual sodas. It’s the perfect non-alcoholic summer drink idea. They’re so easy to make and everyone will love sipping them on a hot summer day.
This grapefruit-lime spritzer can be perfect for baby showers (where the guest of honor obviously can’t drink), barbecues, brunches or even just for a relaxing weekend drink. I would love to be lounging at a pool drinking this cool concoction!
All you need to whip of this drink is fresh grapefruit, lime, sugar and sparkling water. The optional pink striped straw just makes it super pretty!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 8 ounces sparkling water
- lime to garnish
Instructions
- Mix together the grapefruit juice, lime juice into a glass.
- Add in sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Add sparkling water and stir.
- Garnish with lime.
- Chill or add ice if serving immediately.
The sugar balances out the tartness of the grapefruit and lime while the sparkling water adds some fizz. I think serving a drink like this will make your non-drinking guests feel thought of too. Just because they’re not drinking the signature cocktail doesn’t mean they wouldn’t love a cute drink too!
Happy sipping!
